The Mythopoeic Society is a non-profit organization devoted to the study of mythopoeic literature, particularly the works of members of the informal Oxford literary circle known as the “Inklings.”

The society’s activities — books, periodicals, annual conferences, discussion groups, awards, and more — are made possible by membership dues and donations.


Winners of the 2026 Mythopoeic Awards have been announced.

There are three Literature categories (Adult, Young Adult, and Children’s), plus scholarship awards in Inklings Studies and Myth & Fantasy Studies. Winners were announced at Mythcon 54 in Weatherford OK on July 26, 2026.

Members only: 2026 Stewards Elections

In accordance with our 501(c)(3) non-profit status, every three years the members of the Mythopoeic Society elect the Council of Stewards (board of directors), who must stand for [re-]election; 2026 is one such year.

If you are a member of the Society, you are eligible to vote in this election. Further details, including instructions on how to vote, are on your Members Page.
